How to Create a OneDrive Account
Step 1: Go to the OneDrive website
Simple option, open a web browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla, Opera, or Microsoft Edge. Open Google Search, or Bing Search and type Create OneDrive Account. You will get Microsoft OneDrive Official Website and click over it.
Second option, you can open a web browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla, Opera, or Microsoft Edge and navigate to the OneDrive website directly with https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/onedrive/online-cloud-storage.
Step 2: Sign Up for Free
On the OneDrive homepage, you’ll see a sign-in option in the top right corner. Since you don’t have an account yet, look for the “Sign up for free” link below the sign-in button. Click on that link.
Step 3: Create a Microsoft Account
You’ll now be on a page where you can create a Microsoft account. Here, you have two options:
- Use an existing email address: If you already have an email address from any provider (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), you can use that to create your Microsoft account. Enter your email address in the designated field and click “Next.”
- Create a new email address: If you prefer a new email address with your Microsoft account, select “Get a new email address” below the email field. Microsoft will provide you with a new Outlook.com email address to use.
Step 4: Set a Password
In the next step, create a strong password for your Microsoft account. A strong password should be at least 8 characters long and include a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
Enter your chosen password in the designated field and retype it in the “Confirm password” field for verification. Click “Next” to proceed.
Step 5 (Optional): Enter your Name
Microsoft recommends entering your first and last name, but this step is optional. Click “Next” to continue.
Step 6 : Enter Country name and Date of Birth
You can select your country name and enter your date of birth.
Step 7: Verify your Email Id
If you opted to create a new email address during signup, verify your mail id, code sent on your mail id by Microsoft.
