- Choose “I don’t use this Paytm account” as the reason.
- Click “Message Us” to raise a request.
- Paytm will verify your request and initiate the closure process. This usually takes around 48 hours, and you will receive a confirmation email when it’s done.
Deactivate Paytm Postpaid service
- Clear any outstanding balance: Similar to closing your account, ensure you have no outstanding balance on your Paytm Postpaid limit before proceeding.
- Deactivate through the app:
- Open the Paytm app and log in.
- Navigate to the “Paytm Postpaid” section, typically under “My Payments” or “My Money.”
- There should be an option to “Deactivate Postpaid” or similar wording. Tap on it and confirm your request.
- Your Postpaid limit will be deactivated within 8 days of the next month.
- Note that even though the service is deactivated, your Paytm account remains active unless you explicitly request its closure as mentioned above.
